Chapter 13

When the brunette girl finally came to it was not in her home as she had expected. “Just where had she fallen asleep?” She mentally questioned. Around her was a pale uncomfortable blue curtain and white drywall tiles speckled with holes were laid on the roof above her. After several minutes of recollection she recognized the current place as the health office she and Thael had gone to days before. A sigh escaped her lips. “I must have pushed myself too hard.” Kieli mumbled sitting up with a bit of discomfort. Her ice packs had been changed by the school nurse who hopefully had chalked up the injury to just being an adolescence. Throwing her legs over the side of the bed she shivered, as they were still bare from wearing only the school provided bloomers. “I need to get home…What time is it?” Kieli asked again out loud feeling extremely uncomfortable with the silence. “It’s eight forty five.” Thael yawned still in his P.E -sweats and a huge white T-shirt. He looked much more comfortable, and Kieli envied his manner of dress for a moment. A moment before the time frame sunk in. “EIGHT FORTY!” She yelled knowing that physical education had started somewhere around three. “And five minutes.” The brown haired boy yawned sitting next to her on the bed. His left hand touched her bare thigh causing her to turn a furious shade of crimson and scoot over. He of course had not realized. “Something wrong?” He questioned at her new retreat from him. “No it’s just…It’s just I need to get home.” Kieli stated part from worry part from embarrassment. “That’s fine the principle was waiting for you to wake up before he locked up, lemie tell him he can finish locking up the school. Oh Here.” As Thael finished his drawn out speech he stood lifting his oversized shirt holding it in his mouth. The lower parts of his abs were just visible as his thumbs curled around the grey sweatpants. “WAIT! WHAT..I MEAN! I’M NOWHERE NEAR READY! THAT IS…WHAT..are you…” Kieli half screamed half trailed off at the immediate shock of seeing her new boyfriend start to take off her pants in front of her. Her eyes couldn’t help but stare at the little bit of skin that was visible just bellow his tummy. Thael’ls left eyebrow raised amused and a bit confused. “I have shorts…Besides The Principle already locked up are clothes so unless u wanna walk home in those take my sweats.” Thael finished letting the pants fall and stepping out of them soon after with a chuckle. He picked them up and through them on her lap. “What’d you think I wanted to do to ya woman?” Thael walked out of the room with a chuckle leaving an extremely embarrassed Kieli clenching an old pair of grey sweatpants to her. She was thankful Thael could be nice. Err..Maybe sweet was the right word…Her blush went up a bit more remembering her actions as she slid on the pants and shakily stood up awaiting her neo-eyed boyfriend. It took only a few minutes before Thael returned and with the principle and the three of them exited the premises. Kieli apologized numerous times, and at after a quick goodbye The students took a separate way from the educator at around nine fifteen. The two walked alongside each other the asphalt dry from being exposed from the sun all day. Two wooden picket fences coated the narrow street as the cold night air caused a shiver to go up Kieli’s spine. Thael allowed his eyes to fall down the smaller girl’s frame and observe her shivering lightly. It must be cold he thought unable to feel anything himself. Several more minutes passed walking a bit awkwardly before they both spoke at the same time. A blush fell over Kieli’s face. “Go on…”Thael coughed.  Kieli was about to protest but finally decided to just speak. “I just wanted to thank you for…Staying next to me…And..You know. With me…You Know right?” Kieli stated her words not forming as eloquently as she had hoped. “No I don’t know.” Thael yawned feeling exhaustion set in. Kieli blushed worse at her inability to speak and pulled up on the Sweatpants that were slipping down. The brown haired boy rolled his neck lightly producing a few cracks before wrapping his left arm around the girl he was liking more by the second. She jumped slightly, but he just proceeded to pull her subtly frame against his, and walk. Kieli’s eyes fell to the floor her hands firmly grasping the waistband on the sweatpants. She wanted to say thank you, but nothing seemed appropriate, and anything that would dare endanger the warmth she was enjoying was out of the question. Another fifteen minutes or so passed before the two stood outside what Kieli had sad to be her home. The lights were off, and Kieli let her arm’s raise and wrap lightly around Thael’s waist. “Thank you very much…” She smiled sweetly looking up. Thael looked up evasively as if afraid to let himself get attached to the brunette clinging to him happily. This didn’t go unnoticed, as a small visible tug was produced on his shirt. “hmm?” Thael looking down but still trying to hide his embarrassment. “Look at me please? It’s rude to not give your new girlfriend attention.” She finished her sentence with a cute smile on her tip toes, her delicate eyes closed. Thael Placed his hands on Kieli’s shoulders awkwardly… A moment went by.. Another… “Please?” Her soft voice seemed small in the night air. Thael nodded and proceeded to make the mistake of closing his eyes. As his lips missed terribly kissing the upper part of her lip and more so of her cheek, a chuckle escaped Kieli’s throat causing him to retreat. Not wanting to hurt his pride any more, and knowing he was shy she decided to not say anything of his failed attempt and change the subject instantly. “Thael where do u live anyway?” She smiled still hugging. A embarrassed cough escaped his throat wondering why he had received a laugh. It’s not like he could feel any of it so he decided to leave his eyes open next time in hopes that he would understand. “I live the way the principle went…About forty five minutes from here…” Thael smiled hotly as Kieli’s mouth hung open. “You..You took me all the way home in the opposite direction?” The brunette looked down beginning to feel worse and worse for what she had done. “It’s really fine…” Thael yawned feeling more exhausted by the second. “Anyway I’m going to go. I’ll see you tomorrow Baby.” Thael yawned turning and begging to walk away. “HUH!” Kieli half yelled causing to stop and a shiver to go up his spine. “Crap…” He mentally punched himself. “What..did you call me Thael?” The girl blushed happily. “I said Kieli. I’m going home now.” Thael retorted taking up his pace again. “THAEL WAIT! Come on tell me what you said!” She pleaded. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Get a goodnight’s sleep.”  Thael yawned placing his hands behind his head shivering in the shorts. Kieli sighed sneaking into her house without any trouble for once.

1 Week Later After A short Cold On Thael’s Part

     “COME ON SAY IT!” Kieli half yelled. “No” Thael retorted simply from behind a white health mask he had been required to wear to school after being sick. “Please Just once?” The brunette pleaded walking closer to the school yard and clinging to the boys arm untenanted to him. “Say what?” Thael looked down noticing he was being held onto. This had become as to know how to react, and hide his physical…mishaps. “Call me baby?” She pleaded stopping and looking up? Thael couldn’t help but take note to how cute she was. “Now why would I do a thing  like that.” As he replied an amused smile formed on his scared lips. Kieli stopped for a minute to think. “Um..Because you.. Might like me or something…” As she finished Thael frowned knowing he had to say it. “Were gonna be late Baby. “ He stated quickly taking up his step again. The brunette girl smiled quickly following his lead.

Chapter 14

After not being with Thael for a week she was so happy she got to hug onto him again. He was always so warm, it kinda suprised her why he never complained about it. She looked up at him and stared for a bit. He looked down at her and she smile up at him leaning up on her toes and kissing him on the cheek. Thael smiled a bit, even though he couldn't feel it he felt like he had to act that he did. He relised everytime he had reacted like that it would make her smile even brighter, and it made her look even cuter, so he kept up the charade. "Hey Thael. You missed a lot of work, if you need help i'll be glad to be the one who helps you." He looked at her and chuckled a bit. "Yeah, sure! you're the one who sleeps in class everyday. I have higher marks than you could ever dream of getting."  She giggled a bit.n "Yeah yeah... whatever." She let go of his hand and they both walked around the corner into the class.The pysco who they called their teacher was running late again, so Kieli gripped back onto Thael's hand. Thael and Kieli were old news so not many people talked about them but they always stared at them. Kieli smiled at the fact, even though it made her blush because they always stood out, she was glad she could show the world they were together. Thael on the other hand pretended not to care, it was only temperary so why should be, but he was a bit happy such a person would even touch him let lone hold his hand, in public none the less.They sat down and the teacher came bursting in the door, looking as if he just got up and had a bowl of crazy for the morning."SHUT UP YOU PIECES OF CRAP!" he yelled at the class before turning to the chalk board and scribbling some stuff on the black board. Kieli scribbled down on a piece of paper and showed Thael. "Going to sleep now. wake me when it's over." She smiled, peeking out above the note. Thael kind of rolled his eyes and looked back to the front of the class. Proping the text book open she layed her head down pretending to read. Thael didn't completely dislike her sleeping in class just for the fact he got to see her sleep. 'She's so cute and peaceful when she sleeps...' Thael let his mind wonder a bit stareing at the chalk board. "THAEL! please stop staring off and pay attention!?" the teacheer slamed his hand on the board making a loud bang sound quickly getting Thael's attention. Looking over at Kieli she was wide awake sitting straight up in her chair and he looked back to the board as the teacher continued to rambble. Kieli looked around a bit and layed her head back down. Thael looked at her inquisitly, "Is that how she doesn't ever get caught?" Thael thought to himself.
The rest of the day seemed to drag on, Thael wrote notes for the classes most of the day, while Kieli slept peacefully in the desk next to him.
"How do you sleep all durning class and never get caught?" Thael asked the girl clinging onto his arm as they walk down the hallway. "Years of practice" the girl laughed smiling. "Took me a while but  when i hear loud noises or foor steps i wake back up and sit up making it look like i was reading or writting the entier time my head was down. plus it helps to be in the back row. Hey.. we have to pick after school activities don't we?" Completely changing the subject, but he brushed it off. "Yeah i think. why?" "No reason... HEY! what do you have in mind? maybe we can find something to do together!" She smiled up at him and he smiled back at her before looking forward again. "Yeah, maybe."
